How it works.
Listing an item.
Someone has an item that they no longer need. However, it is in a good condition so that would rather not throw it away.
The user searches for www.nutume.com and makes an account with their email and a password
The user clicks “Add Listing.”
- Takes a photo,
- Chooses a suitable category
- Adds their location (to whatever degree of specificity they feel most comfortable.)
- Selects the condition of the item,
- Writes the item description.
The user clicks “submit listing.”
The listing is now pending approval from the nutume admin team.
The nutume admin team can then approve/ reject the listing.
The user will get an email notification telling them what the outcome has been. The listing will either be live on the website or not suitable and therefore declined.
Receiving an item.
The user visits www.nutume.com/browse and views the available listings
The user selects a listed item they desire
The user clicks “reply to listing” and sends the current owner of the item a message.
The current owner of the item receives a notification saying that they have a message from a fellow nutume user.
There is an interaction between the two users, via direct messaging. The two parties will arrange a suitable collection point: on campus, via the lockers, or at a nearby locality (in Leamington Spa or Canley, for example.)
The exchange takes place.
The user who originally listed the item must return to https://www.nutume.com/account/listings/ and delete the item from the website, now it has been exchanged.
Requesting an item.
The user visits www.nutume.com/ and clicks “Post a request.”
The user posts a request for an item they desire.
Another user will browse the requests. Should they see a request for an item they own, they will react to the request saying that they can donate the item.
The person who posted the request visits www.nutume.com and visits their request. They will click on the account of user who has reacted to their request as this is the current owner of the item.
There is an interaction between the two users, via direct messaging. The two parties will arrange a suitable collection point: on campus, via the lockers, or at a nearby locality (in Leamington Spa or Canley, for example.)
The exchange takes place.
The user who originally requested the item must return to https://www.nutume.com/account/requests/ and delete the request from the website, now their request has been resolved.
